OUR HISTORY
In the early 1960s, Eddy and his eldest son, Mac, acquired their first truck and began hauling pulpwood and aggregates in the Smiths Falls and surrounding area. The early days were filled with challenges, yet the dedication to building a better life for their family propelled the company forward.
United by a shared vision of creating a thriving family business, they worked tirelessly, and their efforts paid off. Eddy was able to retire in the fall of 1982, and the three sons assumed responsibility for the company's day-to-day operations.
Steady growth followed in the years to come. The three brothers acquired two local sand pits, and Campbell’s Trucking Ltd. became incorporated in the year of 1985, solidifying its position as a trusted supplier of sand and aggregates. In the summer of 1986, Mac’s son, Rob, began full time employment working alongside his father and uncles after completing his high school diploma.
For the next 18 years, the company persevered and ventured into excavation, septic services, and land development, further solidifying their commitment to growth and service within the community. However, unforeseen circumstances arose when Mac passed away unexpectedly in 2005, creating a profound void within the family and the company, but Mac's dream lived on, inspiring Campbell's Trucking Ltd. to persevere and evolve in the years to come.
Campbell’s Trucking has evolved into an integrated civil construction company and continues to be dedicated to serving the community in new and innovative ways. Recognizing an opportunity to elevate the home purchasing experience, Campbell Homes has emerged as a new venture. Born from the culmination of the Campbell family’s long-standing vision of growth, Campbell Homes embraces a forward-thinking approach to residential construction. With a commitment to quality, trust, and innovation, we seek to create lasting value for homeowners in the communities we build in.
